Welcome to CADOWS.
CADOWS (Clacton And District Occupational Workshop Society) is a registered charity specialising in making bespoke items at customers' request for purchase from us. No job is too small and all jobs are undertaken wherever possible. All items are made under direct supervision of qualified personnel by adults with varying special needs. The aim of CADOWS is to allow people with special needs to be able to contribute to society and offer a valuable resource enabling them to build their own self-esteem and further their life skills. The shop is open 9.30am - 3.00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
CADOWS also has a horticultural side to the business running parallel to the woodwork shop, again involving experts working along side special needs adults, bringing on plants from seedlings to mature plants for sale.
CADOWS is also involved with other projects such as leaflet folding for the less able at no charge and is currently looking for further work of this type to expand for their growing workforce.
